Responsibilities
  • System integration: Harmonize and coordinate the various components of an IT infrastructure. You will help connect software, hardware, databases, and protocols to optimize results, improve operational efficiency, and ensure overall compatibility.
  • Front-end programming: Create and manage the visible user interface of an application or website. You will collaborate on designing a seamless user experience, manage the layout, and ensure the smooth operation of user applications.
  • Back-end programming: Implement and manage the features essential to the proper use of an application or website. You will help manage the application logic, interact with the database, and ensure the smooth operation of server-side activities.
  • Full-stack programming: Work on all aspects of a project, from user interface design to database management and application logic implementation. You will need to demonstrate versatility and an ability to work on multiple aspects of a project.
  • Science and data analysis: Collect, process, analyze, and interpret data to obtain useful information, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in statistics, computer science, and automation.
  • Computer test development: Create and run computer tests to evaluate the quality, functionality, and reliability of software or applications. You will need to identify errors and bugs while ensuring that the software meets specific requirements.
  • Hardware technician: Diagnose and correct problems on simulators and related simulation systems.
  • Hardware design: Design, configure, and manage the development of cost-effective hardware solutions that meet customer requirements.

CAE reports Q1 revenue of $1.17B, up 6.8% year-over-year, maintains fiscal 2027 outlook

CAE reported first quarter fiscal 2027 results with revenue of $1,173.4 million, up 6.8% year-over-year from $1,098.6 million. Earnings per share declined to $0.10 from $0.18 in the prior year, whilst adjusted EPS remained flat at $0.26. The Montreal-based company generated free cash flow of $104.0 million and maintained a net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA ratio of 2.27x. Civil Aviation revenue rose 5.6% to $641.6 million, though profitability decreased. Defence and Security revenue increased 8.3% to $531.8 million with continued margin expansion. CAE's transformation plan progressed during the quarter, including a review of strategic alternatives for Flightscape and plans to close four to six Civil training centres. The company targets $125 million to $150 million in annual transformation run-rate savings by fiscal 2030. Management maintained its unchanged fiscal 2027 outlook.
