  • Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field)
  • 7+ years in an electrical engineering design role for aerospace, hardware development, medical devices, renewable energy, or a related industry
  • 5+ years in a technical project management or leadership role in an engineering, production, or R&D environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and guiding engineers in the design and development of novel electrical systems
  • Be a seasoned professional in full-cycle electronics design, an exceptional communicator, and an accomplished manager of engineering projects with novel technical requirements
  • Applicant must be willing to work 40 hours a week on-site in El Segundo, California, USA
  • Applicant must be eligible to work on ITAR projects
Responsibilities
  • Diving deep into day-to-day engineering to help ensure consistent quality and a strong technical team
  • Managing projects, programs, and/or project managers to ensure project success and efficient execution through scope and budget management
  • Partnering with the Business Development team to explore and secure new projects, broadening our reach in the industry
  • Growing the SOE team through hiring and sourcing
  • Improving the discipline of Electrical Engineering at SOE through its functional team, including developing new infrastructure
