Requirements
  • One year of computed tomography experience is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Basic Life Support certification are required.
  • New York State Department of Health intravenous certification under Title 89 is required.
  • A New York State Department of Health radiologic technologist license and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists license are required.
  • A High School Diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography and X-ray imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and Radiology Department protocols.
  • Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols under the guidance and approval of the site radiologist.
  • Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Call for service and notify all pertinent team members.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Comply with all safety policies and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registration in computed tomography is preferred.
