Requirements
  • Registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
  • At least one year of relevant clinical nursing experience acquired within the past five years.
  • A valid Immediate Resuscitation Care certificate.
  • Complete the cardiac arrhythmia course within the required timelines.
  • An emergency critical-care certificate or equivalent, or obtain it within the required timelines.
  • An Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate or obtain it within the required timelines.
  • A Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certificate or obtain it within the required timelines.
  • A Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate or obtain it within the required timelines.
  • A nonviolent crisis intervention certificate.
  • Complete the Emergency Triage Guidelines (ETG) course within the required timelines.
  • Successfully complete certification programs for emergency-specific delegated medical acts within the required timeline.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work.
  • A good prior work record, including performance and attendance.
  • Adherence to professional ethics, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values.
  • Compliance with the Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
Responsibilities
  • Identify patient needs and participate in planning, organizing, delivering, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and policies.
  • Continuously monitor patients' health conditions.
  • Anticipate potential patient complications and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Work across nursing care units as required and accompany patients during transfers.
