Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience in construction management, owner’s representation, or quality control/quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of commercial or healthcare construction practices.
  • Familiarity with applicable building, safety, environmental, and life-safety codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with Government and contractor personnel.
  • Proficiency with construction management and standard office software.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education, licensure, certifications, and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to utilize software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products using computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical ability to work in construction-site conditions and traverse unstable footing, stairs, rough terrain, adverse weather, ladders, roofs, and other mobility-challenging conditions.
  • Physical ability to take measurements, perform tests comparing in-place work to contract requirements, and observe work activities throughout construction.
  • Work status eligibility and successful completion of a federal government background check are required for employment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform onsite inspections to verify construction work complies with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Monitor construction progress and report schedule, quality, and safety issues to the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative.
  • Coordinate and track requests for information, submittals, and shop drawings to support timely reviews.
  • Identify constructability, sequencing, and coordination issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain daily field reports, inspection logs, deficiency lists, and progress documentation.
  • Support commissioning activities and coordination with testing agencies.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranties, and operations and maintenance documentation.
  • Provide onsite construction oversight, coordination, and quality assurance services for infrastructure upgrades and renovation work within an active medical campus environment.
