Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • One to two years of experience in physician assistant education, medical education, clinical education, or health professions education administration is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of physician assistant and/or health professions clinical education processes, including supervised clinical practice experiences, clinical placement requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic record management systems.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the placement and scheduling of students for supervised clinical practice experiences, including verification and tracking of immunizations, background checks, drug screenings, clinical course registrations, and site-specific onboarding requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and organize clinical rotation sites locally, statewide, and nationally.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office managers, preceptors, and clinical site personnel, and coordinate ongoing communication to support clinical education partnerships.
  • Coordinate the annual verification and maintenance of preceptor documentation, including licensure, board certifications, curricula vitae, and other required records.
  • Monitor, collect, and maintain preceptor evaluations of student performance and ensure documentation complies with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
  • Support the Clinical Education Director in collecting, maintaining, and managing clinical education data and records.
  • Assist with continuous review processes and ensure compliance with federal, state, institutional, and accreditation standards, including documentation required for program assessment and self-study activities.
  • Administer end-of-rotation examinations and provide students with clinical site information, including location details, contact information, and housing resources when applicable.
  • Coordinate and communicate site-provided housing arrangements and other logistical information supporting student success during clinical rotations.
  • Participate in clinical site visits and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of supervised clinical practice experiences as part of ongoing assessment and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Coordinate preceptor and clinical site payments.
  • Serve on program committees and ad hoc workgroups and participate in institutional activities, including commencement and convocation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the Physician Assistant Program.

  • Knowledge of ARC-PA accreditation standards, PAEA clinical education requirements, and best practices in health professions education.
  • Experience using clinical education management systems, student information systems, and electronic scheduling platforms.
  • Experience with affiliation agreements, preceptor credentialing, and clinical compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of higher education policies, student support services, and academic program administration.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing multiple clinical partnerships and complex scheduling logistics.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale projects and event administration.
  • A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Business Administration, Management, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in physician assistant education, medical education, clinical education, or health professions education administration.
  • Experience coordinating clinical placements, preceptor relationships, and student compliance requirements.
