Requirements
  • Completion of an American Psychological Association or Canadian Psychological Association accredited clinical psychology graduate program.
  • Completion of an American Psychological Association or Canadian Psychological Association accredited internship with a neuropsychology focus.
  • Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology.
  • Eligibility to sit for board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology in clinical neuropsychology.
  • A focus on pediatric clinical neuropsychology is necessary.
  • Immediate eligibility for licensure in West Virginia is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide neuropsychological evaluations for neurological, neurosurgical, medical, and psychiatric pediatric populations.
  • Work primarily in an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat patients ages 0–15 served at the WVU Medicine Children's Neurodevelopmental Center.
  • Provide patient care.
  • Teach and supervise within the American Psychological Association-accredited clinical neuropsychology internship and the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship.
  • Teach medical students and residents on topics relevant to psychology and neuropsychology.
  • Teach psychology graduate students and fellows.
  • Participate in the clinical psychology internship's Clinical Child Track and the Pediatric Fellowship.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary clinics across the hospital system.
  • Provide outreach and training for families and statewide providers.
  • Participate in research within the Neurodevelopmental Center.
  • Provide services at other West Virginia worksites as assigned, including West Virginia University Hospitals and University Health Associates.
  • Travel to other worksites as needed to fulfill assigned duties.
