Requirements
  • At least 2 years of relevant inspection experience in the telecommunications, construction, or utilities industries, or equivalent applicable experience in a lower-level role.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Android operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to operate testing equipment relevant to inspections, such as an optical time-domain reflectometer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and on time.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds less than one-third of the time.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
  • Ability to use computers and general office equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect assigned work locations for compliance with client or company specifications and guidelines.
  • Inspect work safety, installation, and troubleshooting compliance as applicable.
  • Use testing equipment according to client specifications.
  • Assist in preparing and developing inspection instructions and procedures.
  • Develop project-specific checklists and standards.
  • Record and document inspection results and findings in applicable data sheets and forms.
  • Complete and submit inspection documentation to appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Complete inspections in a timely manner and track and report activities and metrics.
  • Drive safely to work sites and comply with company and client safety standards.
  • Follow company and client standards using related technical documentation.
  • Deliver feedback and supplemental training to employees and contractors as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Walk, stand, and sit frequently within the work area.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and peers.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Proficiency with a tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with a major multiple-system operator or telecommunications operator is preferred.
