Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a current Utah Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain by comity within 60 days of hire.
- 20+ years of Transportation Engineering experience including past roles as a designer and/or project engineer overseeing the development of plans, specs, and estimates and supporting the development of environmental documentation for transportation projects.
- Proven history providing engineering and management on transportation projects with Utah Department of Transportation and/or local agencies.
- Proven ability to work with others and to manage project deliverables and lead diverse teams to successfully deliver complex transportation projects.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Coordinate with the TSG Regional Lead to develop strategy for the region.
- Lead marketing/business development activities and capture strategy for transportation engineering pursuits for local governments and UDOT.
- Lead the development of proposals and interviews for potential projects.
- Project Delivery/Leadership: Develop and manage scopes of work, schedules, contracts, and design budgets for projects.
- Work very closely with technical staff assigned to projects including drafters, EIT’s, and project engineers.
- Oversee the full life cycle of transportation projects including planning, design and implementation for local roadway jurisdictions as well as working on federally funded projects for UDOT.
- Mentor and coach junior staff.
