Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a current Utah Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain by comity within 60 days of hire.
20+ years of Transportation Engineering experience including past roles as a designer and/or project engineer overseeing the development of plans, specs, and estimates and supporting the development of environmental documentation for transportation projects.
Proven history providing engineering and management on transportation projects with Utah Department of Transportation and/or local agencies.
Proven ability to work with others and to manage project deliverables and lead diverse teams to successfully deliver complex transportation projects.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Responsibilities
Business Development: Coordinate with the TSG Regional Lead to develop strategy for the region.
Lead marketing/business development activities and capture strategy for transportation engineering pursuits for local governments and UDOT.
Lead the development of proposals and interviews for potential projects.
Project Delivery/Leadership: Develop and manage scopes of work, schedules, contracts, and design budgets for projects.
Work very closely with technical staff assigned to projects including drafters, EIT’s, and project engineers.
Oversee the full life cycle of transportation projects including planning, design and implementation for local roadway jurisdictions as well as working on federally funded projects for UDOT.
