  • Experience operating at both high altitude (architecture, strategy) and ground level (code reviews, pairing, debugging production issues).
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages, including Java and Python.
  • Experience designing and scaling data-intensive platforms, including data structures, data pipelines, large-scale ingestion, and graph or dependency systems.
  • Practical experience delivering through concept, design, application development, testing, first release, operational stability, and iterative improvement.
  • Practical experience with AI-first development practices using large language models and agentic tools to accelerate software delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns across teams and functions, including governance for human-in-the-loop validation, traceability and auditability, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations at scale, including security and resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance, and ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption, reuse, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems across technical disciplines.
  • Extensive practical cloud-native experience with AWS.
Responsibilities
  • Define and own platform architecture across data ingestion pipelines, dependency graph modeling, and developer-facing APIs on AWS and Java.

  • Create novel code solutions and drive development of new production-code capabilities across teams and functions.
  • Lead delivery of the core platform build-out, including data ingestion pipelines, dependency graph modeling, developer-facing surfaces, and firm-wide integration.
  • Set strategy and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering across a portfolio, using enterprise-authorized tools, to improve delivery speed, reliability, and code quality; define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams and functions.
  • Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized from automation at scale.
  • Build an agentic-first development practice, embedding AI tools including Claude into how the team designs, codes, reviews, and ships.
  • Set the standard for a high-performing, AI-augmented engineering team in a regulated, large-scale enterprise.
  • Build relationships and credibility across teams beyond the direct organization; represent engineering in cross-functional discussions with security, risk, compliance, and firm-wide platform partners; communicate technical work and business impact to senior stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with greenfield architecture.
  • Experience delivering AI and machine-learning solutions in financial services, capital markets, or operations-focused environments.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong model-risk, governance, or control expectations.
  • Experience designing scalable system architectures for AI products and platforms across multiple stakeholder groups.

About the company

JPMorgan Chase runs the largest bank in the United States, which serves households and small businesses as Chase and large companies, governments, and investors as J.P. Morgan. During the 2008 financial crisis it bought the failing investment bank Bear Stearns and lender Washington Mutual, and in 2023 it took over First Republic Bank after regulators seized it. Chase takes deposits and earns interest on credit cards, mortgages, and car loans, while the investment side earns fees for advising on mergers, raising money for companies, trading stocks and bonds, and managing wealth. Formed in a 2000 merger, JPMorgan Chase traces its roots to 1799 and is based in New York City.

Dimon poached Buffett's protégé Todd Combs to run $10B fund; Buffett: "at least he's going to you

JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon hired Todd Combs, a former Geico chief executive and Berkshire Hathaway investment manager, to lead a $10 billion investment group. Combs joined in December 2025 under the bank's Security and Resiliency Initiative, which aims to help companies accelerate manufacturing. Speaking at a US Chamber of Commerce event in January, Dimon said he called Warren Buffett personally. Buffett "probably wouldn't have preferred it, but he said, 'if he's going anywhere, at least he's going to you,'" Dimon said. Buffett's assistant confirmed the account. Combs had been at Berkshire since 2010 and sat on JPMorgan's board for nine years. His group has already committed $5 billion of its $10 billion allocation.

JP Morgan sees emerging market weight loss drug sales hitting $22B by 2035

JP Morgan expects weight-loss drug sales in China, India, and Brazil to reach $22 billion by 2035, up from $6.6 billion today. Usage remains low: below 0.1% in China and under 0.2% in India, against 4% to 5% in the US. Cost has been the main barrier. JP Morgan says patent cliffs, generic launches, and policy-driven price cuts are making the drugs more affordable. It expects China to pass Brazil by 2027 and reach $13.7 billion by 2035, versus $8 billion for Brazil. India is the smallest market, held back by hesitancy around injections. Eli Lilly, which said it holds about 55% of the international incretin market, stands to gain. Its China revenue grew 93% in constant currency, and it raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $85 billion to $87 billion.

Wall Street fears AI agents will drain bank deposits, but analysts say risk is overdone

Wall Street fears AI agents could pull deposits from banks, but leading analysts and executives say the risk is overblown. Bank stocks have fallen since Meta Platforms launched its Muse personal agent on September 8: Bank of America is down 18%, Charles Schwab 14%, Wells Fargo 6%, and JPMorgan Chase 5%. Agents can compare yields and recommend options, which could erode the inertia that keeps customers' money in place. If deposits move, banks may have to pay more interest, squeezing profits. Analysts Mike Mayo and Gerard Cassidy say trust matters more to customers than slightly higher returns. A Deloitte survey found 72% of bank customers hesitate to share financial data with generative AI tools. Third-quarter earnings showed no clear shift in deposits.
