Requirements

  • Two to three years of experience operating manual machines.
  • Ability to make decisions or suggestions based on established rules or procedures.
  • Ability to select the most appropriate option from known alternatives in multiple-choice situations.
Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and inspect detailed parts from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using manual mills, drill presses, band saws, shearing and punch presses, flexibus bending jigs, other machining equipment, and mathematics.
  • Convert metric drawings to standard measurements.
  • Determine machine setups based on received instructions.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Keep the work area clean and free from safety hazards while maintaining acceptable quality and efficiency levels.
  • Prove out computer numerical control programs when required.
