About the job

Requirements
  • The role requires 15 or more years of experience in software engineering and security architecture, with a strong focus on distributed systems, platform engineering, and enterprise-scale access control, including recent experience in Agentic AI Security.
  • The role requires a deep understanding of agentic AI architecture patterns, including agent orchestration, tool/function calling, reasoning and planning loops, and multi-agent coordination, along with the risks specific to each.
  • The role requires expert-level knowledge of identity and access management, authorization models, and credential and secrets management, including OAuth/OIDC, SAML, workload identity, and policy-as-code approaches such as OPA/Rego or Cedar-class engines.
  • The candidate must be able to lead ambiguous initiatives involving multiple functions across security, product, legal/privacy, and infrastructure teams, and influence organization-wide standards without direct authority.
Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the end-to-end reference architecture for how AI agents are authenticated and authorized to access enterprise data, tools, and systems across Adobe's Customer Experience Platform, covering agent lifecycle management, interaction protocols, memory/context handling, and action-execution frameworks.
  • Evaluate and select frameworks, protocols, and platforms, such as agentic orchestration frameworks, MCP-style tool systems, and policy engines such as OPA/Cedar-class authorization, to support secure, governed multi-agent systems at Adobe's scale.
  • Own the security architecture for agent-to-system and agent-to-agent interactions, including identity and workload authentication, least-privilege authorization, secrets and credential mediation, network egress controls, runtime isolation, and telemetry/audit evidence sufficient to satisfy internal audit and external regulators.
  • Embed privacy-by-design and compliance requirements, including data governance, consent, data residency, and retention, directly into the agent architecture, and partner with Legal/Privacy to keep architecture decisions ahead of regulatory expectations for autonomous AI systems.
  • Lead architectural reviews and set standards for scalability, resiliency, observability, and cost efficiency, treating security and compliance as first-class design constraints.
  • Contribute to or lead an Architecture Review Board function for agentic AI, ensuring new capabilities are evaluated consistently against Adobe's governance bar before they ship.
  • Serve as Adobe's senior technical authority on secure agentic AI architecture, mentor senior engineers and architects, and elevate security and privacy proficiency across the broader engineering organization.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, decision records, and threat models for implementation teams and senior leadership.
  • Represent Adobe's agentic AI security and governance posture to executive leadership, enterprise customers, and, where relevant, regulators and standards bodies, with clear, bounded claims about maturity, open risks, and evidence required before broader rollout.
  • Provide thought leadership across the organization on the direction of agentic AI access governance and shape Adobe's roadmap accordingly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Practical experience with agent-lifecycle governance, including audit evidence generation and anomaly/incident response for autonomous systems.
  • Familiarity with privacy and compliance frameworks relevant to AI systems, including data residency, consent management, and sectoral regulatory expectations for automated decision-making.
  • Experience building or governing developer platforms, cloud-native services, or streaming data platforms such as Kafka and Spark at enterprise scale.
  • An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Security, or a related technical field.
  • Experience standing up or contributing to an enterprise Architecture Review Board or equivalent governance function.

Adobe vs Arista Networks: cheaper Adobe (10x forward P/E) tops Arista (45x) as 2026 buy

Adobe and Arista Networks offer investors opposite bets on AI: software against networking hardware. A Motley Fool analyst favours Adobe for 2026. Adobe's trailing-12-month revenue reached nearly $26 billion, up about 12%, with net income of roughly $7 billion. Arista's revenue was about $10.5 billion, up 33%, with net income near $4 billion. Arista is essentially debt-free but depends on a few large customers and on Broadcom as a supplier. Adobe trades at 10.4x forward earnings, against 44.8x for Arista. The analyst cites Adobe's more than 1 billion monthly active users, up over 20% year over year, as the reason to buy.

Citi's Radke: AI splits software into winners like Microsoft and losers like Adobe

Citi's Tyler Radke says AI is splitting software into winners and losers. Radke, co-head of US software equity research, told Bloomberg Television that AI is lifting growth at Microsoft, Palantir, and Snowflake. He expects Microsoft's revenue growth to top 20%, up from 18% in the quarter ended June 30. Office costs under $100 a month and bundles security and Copilot, while rivals charge hundreds of dollars, leaving room to raise prices. Adobe and smaller application vendors face pressure as IT budgets shift to AI, he said. Salesforce agreed to buy Braze for $47.50 per share in cash. Radke questions whether Salesforce can speed up organic growth after half a dozen large deals. If financing stays costly, he expects scale to decide who survives.

Trellist launches AI transformation practice for Adobe Experience Cloud teams

Trellist, a marketing and technology services firm, has made its AI Transformation practice available to Adobe Experience Cloud teams. The practice helps teams using Adobe Experience Manager, Target, and Analytics adopt AI-first infrastructure: connected systems, fewer handoffs, and AI agents that carry work between steps. Trellist starts by mapping a campaign's handoffs, from brief to analysis, and finding where AI can shorten, reorder, or remove them. The aim is faster time to market. The firm cites more than a decade of Adobe experience, including 250 personalization activities delivered for one client in a year. Elsewhere, it reports a 90% cut in lead handling time for a B2B manufacturer and a 30% drop in customer service calls for a logistics operator. Engagements start with one high-friction process and expand from there.

Adobe shifts to narrower AI metric: AI-first products are just over 2% of $27.5B recurring revenue

Adobe now highlights a narrower AI measure: revenue from products sold as "AI-first." A year ago, it stressed how much subscription revenue was AI-influenced, a figure that exceeded $5 billion in fiscal Q3 2025. AI-first recurring revenue made up just over 2% of Adobe's $27.5 billion total recurring revenue in fiscal Q3 2026. It grew more than 150% from a year earlier, against 11.2% for total recurring revenue. Monthly users of Adobe's free creative products passed 100 million, up more than 70%. Contracted future revenue grew 8%. On October 12, Wells Fargo downgraded the stock, citing worsening organic growth, executive instability, and lost pricing power. Adobe trades at 12.9 times earnings, against 21.9 for the S&P 500.
