  • Some assignments require the ability to obtain a Wisconsin driver's license and authorization to drive a University vehicle upon hire.
  • Employees must be flexible in performing job functions and may be required to work beyond the normal shift, after-hours call-ins, and occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a State of Wisconsin driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout employment.
Responsibilities
  • Clean institutional facilities, remove waste and recycling, and monitor building security to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
  • Lead the custodial work of others and respond to custodial emergencies.
  • Maintain the organization of supply areas and equipment, document inventory, and request additional supplies as needed.
  • Document and report repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
  • Maintain clean and clear walkways free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.
  • Use basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
  • Schedule, monitor, and communicate with staff and assist with basic training.
  • Monitor and secure facility interior and exterior entrances and report issues to appropriate entities.
  • Respond to facility emergencies and hazardous situations, escalating incidents according to established policies and procedures.
