Network Automation Engineer
About the job
- At least 5 years of experience scripting to automate network devices.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Security+ certification.
- One of the following certifications: CCNP, Palo Alto Network Security Professional, or Palo Alto Security Operations Professional.
- Experience with Python, Tcl, Go, PowerShell, and Perl for network device provisioning, network changes, and data collection.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Netmiko, pyATS, Puppet, and Chef.
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
- Ability to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant server-side tools and technologies.
- Extensive network security experience involving network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems.
- The ability to provide customer service and communicate effectively and appropriately.
- U.S. citizenship.
- A current Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access (TS/SCI).
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for network device provisioning, enterprise-scale network changes, and data collection for reporting or analysis as part of a proactive network management approach.
- Assist in diagnosing and remediating advanced network problems and drive innovative solutions to reduce failures.
- Reduce manual tasks and improve service delivery and consistency across a global 24/7 network of routers, virtual private networks, load balancers, firewalls, servers, and switching hardware to maximize efficiency and security.
- Additional Cisco and Palo Alto certifications.
