About the company

Arrow Electronics distributes electronic components and enterprise computing products, linking technology makers with the manufacturers, resellers and service providers that build and sell finished systems. Its larger business buys semiconductors, connectors, passive parts and other components from chipmakers and supplies them to factories, along with inventory and supply chain services. Its enterprise computing arm sells data center hardware, software, security and cloud services to IT resellers and managed service providers. Arrow earns money mainly on the gap between what it pays suppliers and what customers pay, plus fees for logistics and other services. Arrow was founded in 1935 in New York and is based in Centennial, Colorado.

What believers are saying

  • Demand is surging: sales rose 32% to $10.0 billion in the June 2026 quarter, beating Arrow's own forecast.
  • Chips drive Arrow's profit: Components adjusted operating margin hit 5.4% in the June 2026 quarter, up 1.8 points.
  • Savings are coming: as of May 2026, Arrow's restructuring targets $90 million to $100 million in yearly cost cuts.

What critics are saying

  • Leadership is unsettled: board member Bill Austen still served as interim CEO in August 2026, 11 months after taking over.
  • Cost cuts continue: as of May 2026, Arrow's restructuring budgets about $100 million for severance through year-end.
  • IT resale runs on thin margins: a $27 million charge cut ECS operating margin a full point in June 2026.

What makes Arrow Electronics unique

  • Arrow runs its own cloud marketplace: ArrowSphere lets IT resellers sell, bill and manage software subscriptions in one place.
  • Arrow owns a product engineering firm: eInfochips, bought in 2018, writes embedded software and designs devices for clients.
  • No single account dominates: no 2025 customer topped 2% of sales, and no supplier topped 8%.

Arrow Electronics launches first managed NetApp Keystone storage service for channel partners

Arrow Electronics (NYSE:ARW) has launched managed storage services for NetApp Keystone, becoming the first distributor to offer the Storage-as-a-Service product. The programme targets channel partners and managed service providers that want a fully managed enterprise storage lifecycle solution built with NetApp. Arrow bundles Keystone capacity, lifecycle management, and support into a single service to simplify storage operations for customers. The move pushes Arrow further into higher-margin services. Value-added and supply chain services already contribute about 30% of segment operating income. The open question is whether profitability in its enterprise computing solutions (ECS) unit holds while older contracts are reworked. The group's operating margin was roughly 4% in early 2026.

Arrow is expanding its distribution of Lenovo products in Poland. A new range for businesses.

Arrow is expanding its distribution of Lenovo products in Poland. A new range for businesses. A new distribution agreement between Arrow Electronics and Lenovo strengthens the IT infrastructure offering in the Polish market, giving system integrators broader access to server technologies, storage solutions, and artificial intelligence solutions. October 16, 2026 Arrow Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with Lenovo in Poland, expanding its business partners' access to server infrastructure, storage systems and solutions used in data centres and artificial intelligence projects. The agreement covers the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) portfolio, including ThinkSystem servers and storage, and ThinkAgile hyper-converged systems. These technologies are used in data centre modernisation, hybrid cloud environments and edge computing. The companies are thus expanding the collaboration they already have in other markets. Arrow will also provide partners with pre-sales consultancy, IT architecture design, technical support, training and project financing options. Such support can help local integrators carry out more complex deployments requiring specialist expertise and the coordination of multiple technologies. The agreement comes at a time of growing investment in computing infrastructure. According to IDC, global revenue for server manufacturers rose by 52 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, reaching $166.3 billion. This growth is primarily driven by investment in AI-enabled systems, although the scale of this investment varies across market segments. For Lenovo, the partnership offers the opportunity to expand the reach of its corporate infrastructure sales in Poland. Arrow's partners, meanwhile, gain a broader portfolio which they can utilise when modernising existing IT environments and building new systems. The expansion of distribution may also increase competition for infrastructure projects. However, the actual impact of the agreement on the market will depend on commercial terms, the availability of equipment and the partners' ability to secure and deliver new contracts.
