Requirements
  • Credentialed Medical Assistant candidates must hold Medical Assistant credentials from an approved Munson Healthcare credentialing organization.
  • Non-credentialed candidates must have one year of relevant experience in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in provider or patient support, or graduate from a Medical Assistant program approved by Munson Healthcare.
  • Employees must receive required vaccinations or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella, and must receive the annual flu vaccine or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption.
Responsibilities
  • Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic while working alongside the provider.
  • Room and prepare patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures.
  • Measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure using manual and automatic methods.
  • Complete required patient care documentation, including medical histories and referral requests.
  • Perform patient procedures following established protocols and processes, including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection.
  • Assist with day-to-day clinic operations and support fellow teammates and providers as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
  • Experience in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
