Senior Database Engineer @ Advisor360°

Advisor360 team is seeking a Database Engineer with a strong operational background to build and enhance databases in a hybrid-cloud environment. This role will require a balance of tactical and strategic, ranging from the ability to deep-dive customer impacting issues in real-time to driving long-term data strategy and implementation. This is a HYBRID role whereby you must be available to work onsite a minimum of 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Identify patterns that affect the performance, durability, reliability, or availability of our databases and eliminate through the application of automation or other technical innovation
Establish and deliver on a long-term technical vision for overall data strategy, work alongside service teams to eliminate a monolithic application and shift to microservices
Lead and document database best practices for other cross-functional team members
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies, bring new ideas and approaches to the teams.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a DBA, Database engineer, or similar role
5+ years of experience with RDBMS systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL)
4+ years of leading database design and architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling, and performance)
3+ years of experience in one of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, or Perl
Experience in UNIX shell and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience with NRDBMS systems (Cassandra, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools, development lifecycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience with maintaining and operating hybrid-cloud environments
