What believers are saying

  • Employees share in company value: Felix's employee stock ownership plan adds an ownership-based retirement benefit.
  • Safety credentials are built in: Felix gives all employees 10-hour occupational safety training and supervisors and managers 30-hour certification.
  • Phoenix craft workers stay local: Felix's full-time water/wastewater crew posting promises no overnight travel and being home every night.

What critics are saying

  • Medical coverage has a 60-day new-hire wait: Felix lists reimbursement for continuation insurance during that period.
  • Full-time Phoenix craft roles involve physical strain: Felix specifies extreme temperatures and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Short notice shapes Felix's job-order work: on-call contracts include smaller projects with minimal lead time.

What makes Felix Construction unique

  • Felix's panel shop has specialized credentials: its industrial control-panel operation holds UL508A and UL698A certifications.
  • Felix tests complete panels before shipping: factory acceptance testing demonstrates every device and circuit at its Phoenix facility.
  • Felix has long-running design-build experience: it has paired engineers and contractors under that delivery method since 2000.
