Requirements
  • Experience building and scaling products with agents, including orchestrating multi-agent tool-calling with memory and planning, shipping to real users with live evaluations, and implementing tracing and observability.
  • Experience running large language model post-training, including curating clean preference data, automating data pipelines, and building evaluation harnesses.
  • Experience building fast-growing products, either independently or with a cofounder, that reached thousands of users; ownership of onboarding and growth loops and responsibility for driving retention.
  • Experience with GPU optimization and CUDA kernels or similar technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement game generation pipelines powered by large language models and advanced agentic chains.
  • Optimize game iteration cycles, model accuracy, and generation speed across mobile and cloud stacks.
  • Scale the product.
  • Build feedback loops that learn from player and self-play actions to automatically test and improve games in real time.
  • Deliver context-aware creation through multi-turn dialogue and fine-grained parameter control.
Desired Qualifications
  • Significant experience in software engineering and applied artificial intelligence.
  • At least 1 year of full-time experience at a hypergrowth startup.

Roam.ai is a location technology platform that provides developers with SDKs and APIs to add accurate, battery-efficient location features to mobile apps on iOS and Android. It uses an AI-powered algorithm to learn user behavior and sensor fusion of GPS, gyroscope, and accelerometer to collect location data at optimal times, achieving about 5-meter precision while significantly reducing battery drain (claimed 90% less than standard tracking). The platform supports real-time tracking, geofencing, offline tracking, mock location prevention, and trip histories, and offers a tiered subscription model with a freemium tier for developers. Roam.ai serves customers across logistics, delivery, ride-hailing, retail, and fitness, enabling location-based services without building the underlying location tech from scratch. In December 2023, Roam.ai was acquired by Echo Analytics to integrate its SDK into a broader location intelligence platform.

What believers are saying

  • Echo’s March 2026 site still markets Roam’s SDK alongside geospatial products.
  • Echo’s Snowflake marketplace presence expands distribution for Roam-enabled location intelligence.
  • Roam’s 2023 acquisition by Echo opened larger enterprise cross-sell into mobility analytics.

What critics are saying

  • Echo’s 2026 storytelling centers GeoPersona and H3 audiences, sidelining Roam’s SDK.
  • Apple and Google can throttle background location access, weakening Roam’s core mobile tracking.
  • If Echo deprioritizes SDK sales, Roam becomes an absorbable feature, not a standalone business.

What makes Roam unique

  • Roam’s battery-efficient Location SDK still anchors Echo Analytics’ 2026 website.
  • Roam’s sensor-fusion tracking and geofencing remain integrated with Echo’s mobility data stack.
  • Amsterdam-born Roam gives Echo proprietary mobile location technology, not just purchased datasets.
