Requirements
- An associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least five years of experience in network or system administration, ideally in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics settings.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and firewalls.
- Experience with wireless solutions such as Aruba and Extreme Networks.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Microsoft Active Directory environments.
- Experience with network security appliances, endpoint protection, and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with Honeywell mobile devices, Zebra scanners, or similar warehouse radio-frequency equipment.
- Experience supporting physical security systems such as Avigilon, Digital Watchdog, or Honeywell WinPak.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic 24/7 environment.
- Ability to travel between facilities, including overnight and out-of-town travel.
- Flexibility to work after hours during maintenance windows or critical outages.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain core network systems, including Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba and Cisco switches.
- Manage Aruba and Extreme Networks wireless infrastructure to ensure reliable radio-frequency coverage.
- Respond to and resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 network issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks across multiple warehouse locations.
- Maintain IP address management, VLAN configurations, and quality-of-service prioritization for operationally critical applications, including WMS, TMS, VOIP, and CCTV.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory.
- Support server patching, firmware upgrades, and regular backup and restore procedures.
- Assist with deploying new warehouses.
- Implement and document IT infrastructure standards during facility expansions or customer onboarding.
- Enforce IT security controls in alignment with company standards and industry compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and CTPAT.
- Support physical security systems, including CCTV networks, door access systems, and alarm systems.
- Work with the cybersecurity team to apply firewall policies, monitor IDS alerts, and secure edge devices.
- Maintain and update network diagrams, asset inventories, patch levels, and change logs.
- Use monitoring tools to proactively address issues and analyze trends.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and escalate major incidents to the Sr. Network Infrastructure Director when necessary.
Desired Qualifications
- A Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred.
