Requirements
  • Five to seven years of culinary management experience, preferably in a high-volume four- or five-star resort, cruise line, hotel, or restaurant.
  • Five to seven years of experience in the new-build or refit sector leading catering and food-and-beverage disciplines.

  • Deep knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, classification rules, and marine standards.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the food-and-beverage team and Product Development, overseeing and managing all culinary deliverables within the project.
  • Partner with the Director of Culinary Operations during the planning and development of new and existing food-and-beverage concepts.
  • Assist the food-and-beverage team in all new-build and refit projects, ensuring needs and standards are integrated into new concepts.
  • Develop and manage department resources to deliver project timelines and budgets for equipment and smallware across new builds, dry docks, and the current fleet of ships.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with shoreside and shipboard functional teams on matters pertaining to food-and-beverage hotel wares.
  • Make recommendations, lead change efforts, and help manage equipment-related projects.
  • Build strategies to maintain equipment for galleys and other food-and-beverage venues while maintaining appropriate par levels.
  • Lead partnerships with other departments to maintain, source, and roll out equipment fleetwide based on food-and-beverage operating needs.
  • Analyze usage trends and performance data to inform strategic decisions on equipment investments and standardization.
  • Optimize logistics workflows to reduce costs, improve delivery efficiency, and minimize disruptions to onboard operations.
  • Develop systems and identify strategic ways to improve equipment repairs and reduce downtime for galley equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service-level agreements to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Create solutions to drive cost savings and improve the equipment life cycle across the fleet.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for existing and new culinary equipment.
  • Create and recommend capital projects to address equipment needs, reduce costs, improve reliability, and improve product execution through equipment.
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote eco-friendly practices within the food-and-beverage department.
  • Travel to equipment-related exhibits as needed and recommend innovations based on operational feasibility, environmental impact, technical fit, cost savings, and improved life cycle.
  • Participate in global culinary demonstrations and activations at designated marketing events.
  • Oversee fleet galley, provisions, and food-and-beverage design-related equipment.
  • Serve as the point of contact for new food-and-beverage equipment innovation.
  • Attend designated food and equipment shows as approved by the Senior Manager of Newbuild and Revites.
  • Travel up to 60% internationally and between offices, shipboard locations, and offsite locations.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Royal Caribbean Group has completed a registered public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2034. The notes, which carry a 5.550% interest rate, will mature on 20 January 2034 unless redeemed earlier. The cruise operator plans to use the net proceeds primarily to repay part of its outstanding floating rate term loan facilities. Any remaining funds will go towards repaying or refinancing other existing debt. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as lead book-running managers for the offering. The notes were sold pursuant to an automatic shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 29 February 2024.
