Junior Structural Engineer
About the job
- A degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Knowledge of steel and concrete structural design is required.
- Knowledge of the American Concrete Institute, American Institute of Steel Construction, American Society of Civil Engineers, British/European standards, and local regulations is required.
- Knowledge of structural software and AutoCAD is required.
- Participate in the design and evaluation of tender and project designs.
- Assist in producing design reports based on calculations performed with various finite element method tools.
- Develop permanent and temporary works structural design packages under the supervision of Senior Structural Engineers.
- Participate in construction-phase site visits to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
- Ensure structural designs comply with design and building codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Ensure structural designs prioritize safety and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop research and development initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices.
- A Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferable.
