SilverEdge cooperative. TKO Group stock: is TKO underperforming the Communication Services Sector? Neha Panjwani Barchart Mon Sep 28, 3:44AM CDT TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (TKO), headquartered in New York, provides sports entertainment services, as well as focuses on organizing live events. Valued at $34.6 billion by market cap, the company is also involved in the merchandising of video games, apparel, equipment, trading cards, memorabilia, digital goods, and toys. Companies worth $10 billion or more are generally described as "large-cap stocks," and TKO definitely fits that description, with its market cap exceeding this threshold, reflecting its substantial size, influence, and dominance in the entertainment industry. TKO's strength lies in its portfolio of dominant brands, UFC and WWE, which combined drive significant media rights, live event revenue, and global sponsorship deals. Despite its notable strength, TKO slipped 19.5% from its 52-week high of $226.94, achieved on Feb. 26. Over the past three months, TKO stock declined 10.4%, underperforming the State Street Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLC) 7% gains during the same time frame. In the longer term, shares of TKO fell 12.6% on a YTD basis and dipped 6.7% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming XLC's YTD losses of 4% and 3.5% over the last year. To confirm the bearish trend, TKO has been trading below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages since early July, with some fluctuations. TKO's underperformance stems primarily from governance and legal overhangs, elevated valuation sensitivity, and earnings volatility, despite solid fundamental revenue growth. Although the business continues to generate strong top-line momentum from live events and media rights, sentiment has been persistently weighed down by shareholder litigation related to the WWE-UFC merger, high-profile insider selling by executives, and persistent quarterly earnings misses, such as its Q2 results failing to meet Wall Street EPS expectations. TKO's rival, Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSGS) has taken the lead over the stock, with a 55.8% gain on a YTD basis and an 81.5% uptick over the past 52 weeks. Wall Street analysts are bullish on TKO's prospects. The stock has a consensus "Strong Buy" rating from the 24 analysts covering it, and the mean price target of $228.55 suggests a potential upside of 25.1% from current price levels. Quartet of senior hires for new-look MotoGP.

Quartet of senior hires for new-look MotoGP. A new chief commercial officer, chief media officer, chief operating officer, and chief strategy officer, are now in place. Motorcycling's top-tier MotoGP series has unveiled four senior new hires as it looks to bolster its back room. Ryan Norys joins as chief commercial officer, Sameer Pabari becomes chief media officer, and Louise Young comes in as chief operating officer, while Denitza Batchvarova arrived as chief strategy officer earlier in September. Norys joins from beleaguered top-tier English soccer club Tottenham Hotspur, where he had headed up their commercial affairs since 2022. Other roles held by the new CCO include time spent at the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. Young, meanwhile, joins from iconic motor racing series Formula 1, where she was most recently chief race promotion officer, while Pabari becomes chief media officer following a spell as a league advisor. His previous senior roles in the sports industry include stints at the NFL, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Manchester United. Batchvarova joined MotoGP earlier in September from TKO Group, after a stint leading strategy at the Ultimate Fighting Championship. These appointments come following the promotion of Carlos Ezpeleta to deputy chief executive - unveiled in August - and Vince Russell being brought in as chief financial officer back in May. Carlos' father, Carmelo, is the MotoGP CEO. Carlos Ezpeleta has now said: "These appointments are an important step in building the team that will help shape MotoGP's future. Ryan, Sameer, Louise and Denitza bring hugely valuable experience from leading sports and entertainment organisations that will strengthen our commercial, media, operations and strategy capabilities." Earlier this month, MotoGP and global professional services firm Accenture unveiled a deal through which a new, direct-to-consumer, OTT streaming offering will launch. The Liberty Media-owned racing series will debut the new streaming platform in 2027, and will cover the elite MotoGP, secondary Moto2, and tertiary Moto3 categories, as well as the supporting World Superbike (WorldSBK) series. The 2026 MotoGP season got underway at the start of March in Thailand and runs through until the final race of the season in Valencia, Spain, in late November. MotoGP is now promoted and run by MotoGP Sports Entertainment, rebranded as such from Dorna Sport after that firm's takeover by Liberty Media in 2024. How much is the UFC worth? UFC net worth 2026! Aug 17, 2026 The largest MMA promotion in the world is without a doubt the UFC. Although the UFC may not have the largest roster, the Dana White-led organization dominates its competitors in terms of popularity, earnings, and other financial indicators. Under White's leadership, it has expanded into a multibillion-dollar international business. UFC net worth 2026 - what's the value of the UFC? Although TKO Group Holdings as a whole made a profit in 2024 despite the UFC's unusual decline in revenue for the third quarter, the company still has a fantastic year ahead of it in 2025. According to new financial records made public on Wednesday, the UFC's revenue decreased by 11%, from $42.6 million to $354.9 million, mainly as a result of two fewer Fight Night events and one fewer pay-per-view event than during the same period in 2023. A $10.2 million boost in sponsorship revenue helped to somewhat offset the $50.4 million decrease in media rights revenue. In terms of live event revenue, the UFC remained virtually inactive despite hosting three fewer events in the third quarter of 2024 than in 2023. This was because overall ticket sales increased year over year. How much is UFC revenue? Even though TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of the UFC and WWE, reported a loss in revenue for the quarter, overall revenue climbed by 52 percent, from $232.1 million to $681.2 million. WWE, which brought in $242.7 million, was responsible for that surge. TKO CEO Ari Emanuel stated in a press statement alongside the financial figures, "TKO's strong third quarter results reflect continued strength across UFC and WWE, particularly in live events and brand partnerships." Given this ongoing performance, Sillyseason now anticipate achieving revenue and adjusted EBITDA at the upper end of its full-year 2024 guiding outlook. The most recent financial declaration also mentioned the settlement of one of the two UFC antitrust cases and the courts' granting of preliminary permission. A $125 million payment was already placed into escrow in October, and the remaining $250 million is anticipated to be paid in 2025 as part of the agreement that TKO will pay out $375 million to settle the first of the claims.
