Bunnings FY26 results highlight the growing connection between stores and digital retail.

Bunnings FY26 results highlight the growing connection between stores and digital retail. September 5, 2026 Bunnings closed FY26 with A$20.4 billion in revenue, up 4.1%, while total store sales increased 4.0%. Digital sales now represent 7.6% of total sales, up from 6.5% a year earlier, showing how digital commerce is becoming more closely integrated with Bunnings' physical store network. The retailer is also expanding its in-store media footprint. Hammer Media now operates more than 580 screens across around 250 Bunnings stores, adding another digital layer to the customer experience inside the store. Bunnings remains a store-led retailer. But store-led no longer means store-only. Digital commerce, AI, retail media, fulfilment and store technology are increasingly being developed around the same physical network, creating a more connected operating model across channels. This convergence between store investment and digital capability will be a key part of the conversation at Retail Show Australia 2026 this September.

Australia's most trusted brand of 2026 has been crowned.

Australia's most trusted brand of 2026 has been crowned. September 3, 2026 - 4.31pm Bunnings has solidified its status as Australia's most loved retailer, claiming the prestigious 'Best of the Best' title at the 2026 Roy Morgan Most Trusted Brand Awards. The hardware giant has now scored three consecutive overall victories and maintained a top-three spot in consumer trust every year since 2019, a streak of customer loyalty that holds firm even as other major corporate brands suffer sharp reputational declines. In addition, Bunnings has an unblemished record with eight straight victories as the 'Most Trusted Retail Brand of the Year' category from 2019 to 2026. "The reasons Australians give for their high trust in Bunnings are remarkably practical ones," Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said. "They trust Bunnings for 'low, affordable and fair prices,' for 'knowledgeable and professional staff,' for 'good quality products and services,' for its 'focus on the customer;' and for an 'extensive range of products that meets the needs of their customers'. You may also like "Taken together, comments from Australians are not the ingredients of a campaign claim so much as a consistent experience, repeated often enough, and reliably enough, to become public confidence." Aldi has been named the most trusted in the Supermarket and Convenience category for a third year in a row. Levine noted Aldi had "consistently delivered a high level of trust in recent years and has now been recognised as Australia's Most Trusted Supermarket for a third straight year". "ALDI's strong performance is based on high levels of Trust, and just as importantly, low levels of Distrust which results in a high Net Trust Score overall." Kmart has been named Australia's most trusted Department & Discount Department Store for an eighth year in a row, and Cadbury was named most trusted in the Food and Beverage category for a fifth consecutive year. Other brands enjoying impressive winning streaks include Toyota in the Automotive category, Australia Post in the Services, NRMA in Insurance, Samsung in Consumer Products, and CSL Limited in Pharmaceutical, with each winning eight years in a row. The Salvation Army won for Charity of the Year and the CSIRO took out Government Services Brand of the Year after five previous wins. Roy Morgan's results and insights are based on analysis of surveys with more than 21,000 Australians each year via the ongoing Risk Monitor, conducted by Roy Morgan since 2018. The 2026 awards cover the 12 months to June and are based on Roy Morgan's Risk Monitor. The ongoing survey conducts approximately 1,500 to 2,000 interviews each month and measures trust and distrust across more than 1,000 brands in 27 industry sectors. Respondents are asked, without prompting, which brands and companies they trust or distrust and why. Winners are determined by their levels of trust and distrust, producing Roy Morgan's 'Net Trust' measure. Levine said maintaining trust remained an important factor for major Australian brands: "The Roy Morgan Trusted Brand Awards show that building and maintaining high levels of trust - and importantly preventing distrust - is a key ingredient in the success of many of Australia's most prominent brands."
