Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities is preferred.
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances under company policy.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, kneel, see, hear, read, concentrate, think, learn, and communicate.
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to work alone without direct supervision and as a team member.
  • Must be able to learn and use computer systems necessary for daily tasks, including Quore and Hotel Effectiveness.
  • Must exercise discretion to maintain guest privacy.
  • Must be available to work any day or shift, including weekends.
  • Must follow housekeeping, sanitation, safety, security, grooming, uniform, and brand standards.
Responsibilities
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms so they are guest-ready and return occupied dirty rooms to occupied clean status within specified time and accuracy constraints.
  • Handle linens, terry, supplies, materials, and housekeeping equipment properly while maintaining sanitation and cost controls.
  • Follow company cleaning procedures and housekeeping training checklists for every assignment.
  • Perform general cleaning procedures every 90 days.
  • Report discrepancies and hazardous conditions to the immediate supervisor and correct hazards when appropriate.
  • Maintain a crisp, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with grooming and uniform standards.
  • Assist in keeping the associate breakroom, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house areas clean and orderly.
  • Respond immediately to guest requests and inquiries while maintaining professional hospitality.
  • Maintain knowledge of and follow emergency, safety, and security procedures.
  • Communicate with guests, coworkers, and other associates through verbal communication, messages, and communication logbooks.
  • Perform other assigned duties the associate is capable of performing.
