Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, or related combination of education & experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as an Architect with ERP application technology solution, architecture covering Applications, APIs, and Systems Integration, data, and cloud.
  • Experience managing local and/or cloud architecture including system integration, data, and database architectures. Experience with agile and interactive architectures.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into tangible plans.
  • Plan and lead the work of technical team members.
  • Experience with infrastructure, networking, and security in cloud-based delivery models.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience in program and project scoping and planning with Agile processes and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including above-average writing skills, for working with individuals and teams at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive initiatives in a dynamic organizational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and assign tasks, identify, track, and remove blockers, ensure sufficient resourcing, and escalate blockers as appropriate.
  • Plan the ERP system architecture and multi-year modernization architecture strategies and roadmaps to deliver cost-effective, scalable, and reliable systems.
  • Assist with migration to a new cloud-native ERP.
  • Enable mobility, integration, and application programming interfaces for the ERP.
  • Define target, transition, and future architecture and environment plans.
  • Define customization items, user experience and portals, change management, and user adoption considerations.
  • Act as the technical liaison between technology and business by coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for smooth ERP system functioning.
  • Understand integration points between legacy systems, front-end, back-end, and satellite systems, and highlight potential solution delivery risks.
  • Manage the ERP end-to-end data architecture and design the architecture with the vendor.
  • Provide leadership for customization items with the vendor.
  • Integrate technical functionality and ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and security with the vendor.
  • Define architecture and technology standards, patterns, and best practices for the ERP.
  • Identify and track assumptions and constraints and ensure program methodology and standards are followed.
  • Identify tasks and assist in creating, coordinating, and executing program work plans and deliverables, revising them as needed to meet changing program requirements.
  • Lead the technical team with the vendor for technical requirements, procedures, and infrastructure.
  • Support ongoing decision-making and adherence to program timelines.
  • Create, review, and approve program deliverables, ensuring quality and alignment with program standards; resolve or escalate issues related to deliverable completion.
  • Provide updates to the Director of ERP Implementation and Transformation regarding deliverable, task, and sprint completion levels.
  • Promote and educate the team on best-practice adoption for technology, program methodology, program RACI, program governance, and program strategies.
  • Develop and promote a collaborative working environment with staff and foster positive working relationships with vendors.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure program success and ensure workshops include appropriate participants.
  • Work with team members and the Director of ERP Implementation and Transformation to complete deliverables, meet KPIs, and maintain ongoing communications.
  • Execute or assist with testing and create or update test scripts as assigned.
  • Participate in procurement activities, including requests for proposals and quotations.
  • Develop or contribute to business cases for new technology solutions.
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement through innovation and best practices during and after implementation.
  • Work with the Director and team members to plan the continued rollout and growth of implementation roadmaps and strategies.
  • Stay current with current and emerging technologies.
  • Perform assigned technology activities related to monitoring, vendor assignment, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive technology solutioning and decisions for the assigned stream.
  • Advise on technical architecture changes, compliance with requirements, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Review and provide insight into functional design documents and ensure consistent documentation of the integrated solution.
  • Ensure compliance with architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Contribute to or lead designs and optimization of application and integration strategies for cost-effective delivery of scalable and reliable distributed systems.
  • Manage product end-to-end data architecture and design the technical architecture.
  • Stay current with the latest technological and industry trends.
  • Advise on and develop metrics related to system efficiency improvements, user satisfaction, and process optimization.
  • Coordinate release management activities.
  • Monitor and interpret trends and best practices for ERP architecture and advise the Director of ERP Planning and Implementation on future development opportunities, potential impact to Mackenzie Health, and decision-making or action planning.
  • Conduct research and prepare ad hoc reports for the Director of ERP Implementation and Transformation.
