Jack Henry is first core provider to bring tokenized deposits to banks via Google Cloud ledger

Jack Henry (Nasdaq: JKHY) expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud to help banks and credit unions offer tokenized deposits. It will be the first core banking technology provider to integrate with Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL), announced October 16, 2026. GCUL is a fully managed, distributed ledger service that lets financial institutions tokenize and transfer money and assets on a shared, real-time record with 24/7 settlement. Jack Henry says the tie-up will help community and regional institutions keep deposits and compete with large banks and fintechs. The two companies first partnered in 2022. "Tokenized deposits have the potential to reshape how money moves across the financial ecosystem," said chief technology officer Ben Metz.
