Requirements
  • A BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Five years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3 code requirements.
  • Ability to walk down systems in the field.
  • Understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to work a scheduled 40-hour work week and various work schedules, including 5/8s, 4/10s, and 9/80s.
Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support services on assigned SRMC Engineering Teams, including engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents.
  • Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, System Descriptions, Mechanical Equipment Lists, Mechanical Equipment Sizing and Calculations, Piping and Valve Specifications, ASME B&PVC Design and Evaluation including Pressure Protection Design, Material Handling Equipment documentation, and Mechanical Procurement Requirements, Specifications, and Data Sheets including Vendor Document Reviews.
  • Travel off site as needed to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations.
  • Use SRMC processes and procedures to provide engineering services.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design.
