About the job

Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance.
  • At least 7 years of experience building and operating production web systems.
  • A strong track record building production web systems, with demonstrable depth in server-side and domain-model work.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic artificial-intelligence development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or an equivalent on real codebases.
  • Fluency across cloud infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and security fundamentals.
Responsibilities
  • Build domain services in TypeScript and Node behind a REST API, including case-lifecycle state machines, document generation, pricing and payment-schedule calculation engines, workflow, and milestone logic.
  • Extract legacy business rules from converted Java, PL/SQL packages, and database triggers into an evidence-cited knowledge base, then reimplement them with tests proving parity.
  • Build golden-master harnesses that replay legacy calculations and compare results to the penny.
  • Implement append-only audit trails, segregation-of-duties enforcement, reproducible calculations, and interface controls for federal financial audit standards.
  • Rebuild file-based and API integrations with partner logistics, accounting/enterprise resource planning, and training-management systems using contract-first development and emulators before live connections.
  • Work across the full stack, including user interface, application programming interface, database, infrastructure, and pipeline, to deliver complete vertical slices of business capability.
  • Stand up infrastructure, debug pipelines, reason about security controls, and contribute across system layers.
  • Decompose problems into precise specifications that agentic tools can implement directly.
  • Own all code merged into production, including code produced by agents.
  • Conduct rigorous reviews with test-driven development, human review on every merge, and continuous integration scans.
  • Ship small, reviewable changes while maintaining an always-green main branch and an always-on beta environment.
  • Share information through documentation, demonstrations, pairing, and improved harness rules for the team.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to read PL/SQL and legacy Java for business-rule archaeology.
  • Experience with financial calculation engines, audit-sensitive systems, compliance-sensitive systems, or complex state machines.
  • Prior work in a regulated or government environment, including FedRAMP, Risk Management Framework, or Impact Level environments.
  • REST API design at scale.
  • Experience with Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations.
