Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience is required, preferably in a legal, banking, or large corporate environment.
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Strong keyboarding and typing skills are required.
  • Proficiency with other software programs for editing or creating documents is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform document production work according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assess job requests, identify the correct process for producing documents, and ensure appropriate completion throughout the task lifecycle.
  • Use established procedures, standards, and formats to edit, proofread, convert, create, transcribe, or otherwise complete document production requests.
  • Use the equipment, technology, software, and hardware necessary to perform job functions at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Assist with coordination of document production services, preparation, intake, and workflow within the team.
  • Troubleshoot complex software or hardware problems.
  • Use appropriate logs or tracking software for all assigned work.
  • Meet contracted deadlines for accepting, completing, and delivering assigned work.
  • Communicate with peers, supervisors, or clients regarding job or deadline issues.
  • Help foster continuous service enhancement and build client relationships.
  • Perform quality assurance on the work of others.
  • Train more junior staff members.
  • Assist peer teams with proofreading, design, and other document production or preparation as needed.
  • Complete other tasks and assignments as directed by management.
  • Interact with clients in person, by telephone, or electronically.
  • Adhere to Williams Lea policies and client-site policies.
  • Use equipment and supplies in a cost-efficient manner.
Desired Qualifications
  • Higher-level education or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Document production and word-processing experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job-tracking system is preferred.
