Requirements
  • Senior experience at a state utility commission or in regulatory affairs or policy leadership at an electric utility or independent power producer, with significant exposure to commission decision-making.
  • Strong relationships across commissions and utilities, including regulatory staff, policy leaders, and utility executives influencing credit and risk decisions.
  • Understanding of how commissions evaluate reliability, liquidity, credit exposure, and ratepayer protection.
  • Experience working in markets with high renewable and storage penetration.
  • Ability to translate regulatory and utility experience into clear, actionable recommendations that make the product understandable, credible, and adoptable.
  • Credibility to navigate complex regulatory environments and build confidence with decision-makers.
Responsibilities
  • Advise on how the product supports utility commission goals and shape regulatory positioning.
  • Refine communications with commissions, anticipate concerns, and guide which stakeholders to engage and how to approach them.
  • Interpret emerging commission priorities and market developments so the product and positioning can adapt.
  • Use relationships across state commissions, utilities, and energy policy organizations to accelerate education and credibility.
