Hopscotch taps Unlimit to strengthen peak-period payments.

Hopscotch taps Unlimit to strengthen peak-period payments. September 3, 2026 Hopscotch has rolled out Unlimit's payment solution across its website and mobile app as the Indian children's fashion retailer looks to strengthen checkout performance during periods of peak demand. The deployment is designed to support Hopscotch during seasonal launches, festive campaigns and flash sales, when transaction volumes can rise sharply. The solution supports both domestic Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions and card payments, routing transactions through available payment options and retrying eligible payments that initially fail. The aim is to reduce payment failures at checkout and improve the conversion of shoppers into completed transactions during high-volume periods. Hopscotch operates a catalogue of more than 40,000 products and adds around 500 new styles each day, increasing the pressure on its payment infrastructure as demand rises during major shopping periods. Data from Unicommerce showed Indian ecommerce order volumes increased 24% year on year during the 2025 Diwali period, highlighting the scale of demand retailers can face during the country's key festive shopping windows. Unlimit provides financial infrastructure across more than 180 countries and 150 currencies, integrating with local payment methods to support domestic and cross-border commerce. Founded in 2009, the company is headquartered in San Francisco and London and also operates Stable.com, a financial platform offering multi-currency balances, cards and treasury tools. Its customers include Xiaomi, Telegram, Convera and inDrive. Unlimit CEO of Global Payments Irene Skrynova said, "The battle for conversion is not won when a shopper clicks 'buy'. It is won when the payment goes through. During peak retail periods, every avoidable failure is a customer and a sale that a retailer has already worked hard to earn." The deployment highlights the growing focus among ecommerce businesses on payment reliability as retailers look to protect conversion rates during periods of heightened online demand. Unlimit and Decentro partner to power cross-border growth infrastructure for Indian businesses.

Unlimit and Decentro partner to power cross-border growth infrastructure for Indian businesses. * Payments * 07.05.2026 09:59 am Unlimit, the global financial infrastructure platform, today announced that Decentro, India's leading fintech enabler, has integrated the platform's universal operating layer to extend its cross-border payment capabilities into new markets and payment methods. Through this integration, Decentro's partners can now access Unlimit's proprietary payment network, effectively collapsing the fragmented global payment landscape into a single, high-performance financial infrastructure. As Indian fintechs and digital platforms scale globally, they face a wall of structural complexity: disparate regulatory requirements, fragmented local payment rails, and high-latency settlement cycles. By combining Decentro's licensed payment infrastructure with both Unlimit's payments stack and the access to local alternative payment methods it provides across Europe, Southeast Asia, LATAM, and Africa, the partnership delivers a unified experience for Indian businesses looking to scale globally - without adding complexity. While these markets represent a significant opportunity for merchants - with Southeast Asia's digital economy projected to reach $1 trillion by 2030 and Africa's digital payment economy expected to reach $1.5 trillion by the same year - businesses often face operational complexity when scaling across them. The partnership moves cross-border commerce from a logistical challenge to a matter of code. By combining Decentro's licensed infrastructure with Unlimit's extensive global APM access and deep market regulatory expertise, the partnership enables customers to accept locally preferred payments such as PIX in Brazil, SEPA Instant in Europe, and regionally dominant e-wallets in APAC, without the need for multiple local entities or fragmented third-party providers. This infrastructure-first approach provides Indian businesses with a unified programmable layer for payment acceptance and fund orchestration. Together, Decentro and Unlimit handle the underlying complexity of multi-currency conversion, local compliance, and smart routing, allowing businesses to settle transactions with the speed and precision of a local domestic player. Irene Skrynova, CEO, Global Payments at Unlimit, said, "Unlimit was built to be the foundational layer for the world's most ambitious platforms. Our partnership with Decentro enables businesses anywhere to access a truly end-to-end global payments capability, empowering the next wave of innovators to scale at the speed of the internet. Our mission is to provide the programmable rails that make hyper-local market depth accessible to every business, ensuring that moving value globally is a matter of code, not geography." Rohit Taneja, Founder and CEO at Decentro, added, "To compete effectively on a global stage, our customers require access to sophisticated, high-fidelity financial infrastructure. By integrating Unlimit's proprietary stack, we are giving global merchants a definitive gateway to international markets. This partnership allows our customers to deliver localised payment experiences anywhere in the world, backed by the scale and regulatory certainty of a global leader."

Unlimit appoints Irene Skrynova as CEO, Global Payments.

Unlimit appoints Irene Skrynova as CEO, Global Payments. Unlimit announced the appointment of Irene Skrynova as CEO, Global Payments, as the company accelerates its evolution into a global financial infrastructure platform powering cross-border commerce. Unlimit Experts The appointment marks the next phase in Unlimit's strategy to move beyond traditional payment processing and build the infrastructure layer that enables businesses to expand globally with greater speed, reliability, and operational simplicity. As digital platforms scale internationally and cross-border commerce continues to grow, merchants increasingly require a unified infrastructure capable of connecting fragmented local payment ecosystems into a single interoperable environment. In her new role, Irene will lead Unlimit's global payments processing business, bringing together product, technology, and commercial teams under a unified leadership structure designed to accelerate innovation and global expansion. Her mandate will focus on strengthening the company's infrastructure platform that bridges local payment expertise across emerging markets with the technologies shaping the future of global finance. She understands both the complexity of local markets and the technologies reshaping global finance. As we continue building the infrastructure that powers modern commerce, Irene is uniquely positioned to lead our global payments business into its next stage of growth." Irene Skrynova, CEO, Global Payments, commented, "Many businesses today operate globally from day one, but the payments infrastructure has not evolved at the same pace. Companies still face fragmented systems, complex regulation, and inconsistent settlement across markets. Our goal is to close that gap by building the infrastructure that connects local financial ecosystems with the next generation of global commerce, enabling merchants to expand internationally with confidence."
