  • A college diploma or university certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is required.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Availability to travel between the company's various sites as needed is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong health and safety culture and support managers with occupational health and safety-related matters.
  • Coach managers in developing their health and safety leadership and integrating prevention into daily operations.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety programs, procedures, and tools to strengthen prevention and accountability.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and maintain a visible field presence to promote safe work practices and behaviors.
  • Assess workplace hazards and recommend appropriate risk prevention and mitigation measures.
  • Lead accident investigations and collaborate with regulatory authorities during inspections or investigations.
  • Coordinate health and safety training, facilitate occupational health and safety committee meetings, and respond to health and safety inquiries from employees and clients.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual language ability is an asset.
