Envista to move HQ from Brea to Irvine.

Envista to move HQ from Brea to Irvine. October 26, 2026 Envista Holdings Corp. is ending a decade in Brea, with plans to move its headquarters to Irvine by 2028 - a move prompted by the planned demolition and redevelopment of its current home. The dental products maker, Brea's most valuable public company with a valuation near $3.8 billion (NYSE: NVST), has signed three separate leases totaling more than 120,000-square feet at Lakeview Business Center, owned by Newport Beach-based Irvine Company, according to CoStar data. "We've loved our time in Brea and are excited to begin our next chapter in Irvine in 2028. Our new headquarters is an investment in our future and in our people, creating a modern environment designed to help employees collaborate, innovate and build rewarding careers." -Chief Financial Officer Eric Hammes The move comes as the 97,000-square-foot building Envista occupies in Brea faces a major transformation. Its current headquarters is located on part of the 34-acre Beckman Coulter campus, which local developer Dwight Manley purchased for $140 million in January. The campus is slated to be torn down and redeveloped into single-family homes and the first-ever Costco for the area. Envista was spun out of Danaher Corp., a global conglomerate with segments in life sciences, diagnostics and biotechnology, in 2018 and went public the following year. Danaher acquired Brea-based laboratory and diagnostic equipment maker Beckman Coulter for approximately $6.8 billion in 2011. Over the summer, Washington, D.C.-based Danaher closed on its $9.9 billion buyout of Irvine-based Masimo Corp. One of Biggest Office Deals of the Year The three leases combined represent the second-largest new office deal in Orange County this year. The Business Journal was first to report last month on Taco Bell and Habit Burger & Grill's lease for a 254,000-square-foot, three-building campus on Alton Parkway in Irvine, which the two restaurant chains plan to relocate to by spring 2028. Both deals highlight continued demand for large office campuses in Irvine as Orange County's office market shows gradual signs of stabilizing. CBRE reported vacancy rates slightly increased to 13.3% in the second quarter, while availability fell to 18%, down from the adjusted rate of 19.5% in the first quarter. Envista Takes Over Former Bollinger Facility Lakeview Business Center is a 17-building campus located a short walk from the Bass Pro Shops store in the Irvine Spectrum. Amenities include seven outdoor collaboration and event spaces, barbecues and onsite auto detailing services. Envista's new headquarters will span three adjacent buildings at 100 Technology Drive and 15360 and 15370 Barranca Parkway, one of which used to be occupied by Brea-based Bollinger Innovations, formerly known as Mullen Automotive. The struggling electric vehicle maker, which has undergone numerous reverse stock splits and transitioned from the Nasdaq to Over the Counter after its market cap fell below $50,000, opened an EV development center at 100 Technology Drive in 2022. CoStar data shows that Bollinger moved out of the 31,602-square-feet facility last December, leaving the entire building vacant. Job Listings Point to 2028 Q1 Move While Envista has not officially announced the move, job postings for manufacturing and engineering positions say the company will relocate its office from Brea to Irvine in the first quarter of 2028. Envista in August reported 537 local employees, making it the fourth largest dental company in Orange County by headcount. Companywide, it counts more than 12,000. Envista owns more than 30 dental brands, including Ormco and Nobel Biocare, that are used in 200 million dental procedures a year, according to its website. In 2025, Envista reported a revenue increase of 8% to $3 billion. The company posted second quarter earnings in August with revenue of $731 million, surpassing the $716.3 million expected by analysts. Management also raised sales growth guidance to 3.5% to 4.5%, up from its prior range of 2% to 4%. "The dental market continued to show its characteristic resilience as patient demand for dental care remained stable despite macro pressure." -Chief Executive Paul Keel Envista continued to invest in product innovation with two new launches within its consumables business during the second quarter. The ZenSeal Pro is an all-in-one bioceramic endodontic sealer, used to close gaps between filling material and the canal wall in root canal procedures. The other product, the DemiPro, is a lightweight cordless curing light for restorative dental procedures. Move is another blow to Brea's office market BREA - The expected departure of Envista Holdings Corp. to Irvine in 2028 marks another big blow to Brea's base of office jobs. The city earlier this year saw developers buy the longtime campus of Beckman Coulter, with plans to replace the five-building campus that at its peak held close to 1,000 positions with a new housing development. Similarly, the multi-building office campus that held the base for Mercury Insurance, which employed nearly 1,600 pre-pandemic, in 2024 was sold to developer Dwight Manley for $31.5 million with an eye toward residential development. Manley later sold the 9.7-acre site to Hearthstone Inc., a division of Lennar Homes, for $45 million. The Brea City Council approved Lennar Homes' proposal to redevelop the site into a residential development with 179 attached units. Envista's new landlord, the Irvine Co., last year brought another big Brea business to the Spectrum area of the city, when food supplier Young's Market relocated its base to Spectrum Terrace. Envista currently employs 537 at its Brea base. Article sourced by OCBJ and writer Yuika Yoshida. Chairs, handpieces, and sterilizers: the unsung heroes of the dental equipment market.

Chairs, handpieces, and sterilizers: the unsung heroes of the dental equipment market. Dentistry is changing quickly. Clinics that relied on analog tools now run digital scanners, laser systems, and connected treatment units. This post covers how the dental equipment market is structured, what is pushing it forward and holding it back, and where it is headed through 2033. Core Market Framework Dental equipment covers the instruments and systems used to examine, manipulate, treat, and restore oral disorders. Grand View Research segments the dental equipment market by product and region. By product: * Dental radiology equipment: intraoral and extraoral imaging, including digital X-ray units and sensors * Dental lasers: diode, carbon dioxide, and YAG lasers * Systems & parts: instrument delivery systems, vacuums and compressors, CBCT systems, CAD/CAM, furnaces, and electrosurgical equipment * Laboratory machines: ceramic furnaces, hydraulic presses, electronic waxers, and similar tools * Hygiene maintenance devices: sterilizers, air purification systems, and needle incinerators * Other equipment: chairs, handpieces, light-cure units, and scaling units By region: North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa, with country-level coverage across more than 20 markets. The competitive landscape has two tiers. Established players such as Dentsply Sirona, Planmeca, A-dec, Straumann, Envista, and 3M compete on broad portfolios, large installed bases, and heavy R&D spending. Emerging players such as AMD Lasers, Zolar Technology, and GIGAAMEDICAL compete on price, niche products, and regional distribution, mostly targeting small and mid-sized clinics. Download Free Sample Report Strategic Drivers & Impeding Mechanics What's driving growth * A rising burden of oral disease. Oral diseases affect an estimated 3.9 billion people worldwide, according to the FDI World Dental Federation. Untreated tooth decay is the most prevalent condition in the Global Burden of Disease Study. Diets high in sugar, tobacco and alcohol use, and poor hygiene keep caries and periodontal disease widespread. More patients need diagnosis and treatment, so clinics and hospitals need more chairs, imaging systems, scanners, sterilization units, and lasers. * An aging population. By 2050, about one in six people globally will be over 65, up from one in eleven in 2019. That is roughly 1.5 billion people, and older patients have a higher need for restorative and surgical dental care. * Digital dentistry. Intraoral scanners, CAD/CAM systems, 3D printers, digital radiography, and cloud-connected practice software are becoming standard. They support same-day restorations, cut manual errors, and improve diagnostic accuracy and the patient experience. * Policy, awareness, and medical tourism. Public oral health programs, preventive care campaigns, and expanding clinic networks all lift demand. Dental medical tourism adds to it, especially in Asia, where patients are drawn by shorter waits, lower costs, and skilled practitioners. What's holding it back The high cost of imaging equipment. CBCT scanners, panoramic X-ray systems, cephalometric units, and digital radiography systems require large upfront investment. Beyond the purchase price, practices also pay for installation, software licensing, maintenance, calibration, radiation safety compliance, and staff training. For small and independent practices, that total cost can delay adoption or push them toward cheaper alternatives. The pandemic also left a mark. Clinic closures, PPE shortages, and the need to invest in new safety protocols strained many practices, although the market recovered once clinics reopened. Customize This Report Market Overview & Growth Trajectory The global dental equipment market was valued at USD 12.5 billion in 2025 and is estimated at USD 13.2 billion in 2026. It is projected to reach USD 20.9 billion by 2033, growing at a CAGR of 6.8% from 2026 to 2033. Products. Systems & parts led in 2025 with a 40.4% revenue share, since these are the core tools behind almost every procedure. Dental lasers are the fastest-growing segment, with a projected CAGR of 9.2%. They are increasingly used in surgery, gum reshaping, and teeth whitening, and they offer controlled blood loss and less need for sutures. Regions. North America held the leading position in 2025 with a 38.6% share and is expected to grow at a 7.0% CAGR. The U.S. anchors the region thanks to strong infrastructure, established reimbursement policies, and a concentration of key players. Asia Pacific is the fastest-growing region at a 7.5% CAGR, helped by supportive government policies, a rising geriatric population, growing procedure demand, and strong medical tourism in China, Japan, and India. What it means for stakeholders. Success will likely go to companies that offer integrated digital ecosystems rather than standalone devices. That means diagnostics, imaging, treatment, and software working together, backed by clinical support, strategic partnerships, and strong distribution. Expansion through partnerships and acquisitions in emerging regions is also a clear competitive pattern. California's Envista expands dental products business in India with Kerr launch.

California's Envista expands dental products business in India with Kerr launch. * September 4, 2026 India is one of the few large markets where primary dental care is still reaching new consumers; global companies that provide devices and consumables for Indian dentists have found a fertile market. Here in Southern California where I live, Brea-based Envista Holdings is expanding its presence in India with the launch of its Kerr dental consumables business, as the dental products company that owns Kerr, Ormco, and Nobel Biocare seeks to diversify its revenue base. The company announced on September 1 that Kerr products will now be introduced more broadly in India, with an initial focus on restorative and endodontic dentistry. Kerr, a longstanding dental brand within Envista's portfolio, produces materials and other consumables used by dentists in restorative procedures and root canal treatment. For Envista, the move reflects the increasing importance of India within its international growth strategy. The country has a large base of dental professionals, while demand for higher-quality restorative and aesthetic dentistry is increasing as incomes rise, private dental practices expand and patients become more aware of available treatments. India's dental market is also changing beyond the largest metropolitan areas. Private clinics, dental chains and specialty practices have expanded in many Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, creating a broader potential market for international manufacturers of dental equipment, materials and consumables. Envista CEO Paul Keel described India as one of the company's strategic growth markets and pointed to the country's expanding dental infrastructure and changing clinical practices as reasons for further investment. The company plans to support the Kerr introduction with clinician training, hands-on workshops and continuing education programs. It also expects to work with universities, professional organizations and other industry participants. A multi-city program involving international dental experts is planned following the initial launch. This approach is significant because selling medical and dental products in India often involves more than establishing distribution. Manufacturers frequently need to invest in clinician education, technical support and relationships with hospitals, universities and professional organizations, particularly when introducing products that compete on clinical performance rather than primarily on price. Envista also intends to expand Kerr's reach beyond India's largest cities. Vikrant Trilokekar, managing director of Envista India and South Asia, said the company plans to combine new product introductions with local service and technical support. Kerr itself is not a new brand. Founded 135 years ago, it has an established international presence in restorative and endodontic dentistry. Bringing a broader Kerr portfolio into India therefore represents less of a new-market experiment than an extension of Envista's existing global product strategy into a market it sees as increasingly important. What that means for medical device companies For American healthcare companies, Envista's move is another example of how India is evolving from a market served primarily through limited product distribution into one where multinational companies are investing more deliberately in local market development. As India's healthcare infrastructure expands beyond its largest cities, companies that can combine international products with local training, service and clinical engagement may find a substantially larger addressable market than was available a decade ago. Envista Holdings Corp., a maker of dental equipment, has hired Matt Silverman as senior director of global trade compliance. Silverman was last seen at Caterpillar, where he was assistant general counsel of compliance until last year. Silverman also does a fair bit of writing and speaking about trade compliance, which probably keeps him quite busy these days. Rebekah Mihm has a new job as head of legal operations, ethics, and ESG at UFP Technologies, a maker of sterile packaging and other medical equipment. Mihm comes to UFP from Harman International, where she had been director of corporate sustainability and ESG until this past spring. Looks like a few folks have been exiting British betting business Entain lately. Karen Nightingale has stepped down as group director of ethics and compliance, a role she held at Entain since 2023. Anandee Chowdhury also separated from the company the other week after two years there; she had been a group ethics and compliance associate. (If anyone wants to leak any other news of Entain restructurings, you can always reach me at [email protected].) Sumanta Datta has left his job as global head of compliance for analytics firm Wood Mackenzie to join Petroleum Development Oman as a compliance executive. ABB has hired Angel Corbacho as lead investigator for the EMEA region. Corbacho previously worked at cybersecurity firm Cloudflare as senior counsel for legal compliance; he's based in Portugal. Wellspace Health has hired Daniel Goulart as compliance program specialist. Goulart comes to the California-based company after 10 years at Sutter Health, most recently as a privacy and information security consultant. Dana Cook just landed at Boeing Corp. as a senior manager in compliance risk management. Cook comes to Boeing after three years at McKinsey as a "manager of compliance capabilities," but Cook had worked at Boeing for nearly a decade before that in various compliance roles. M&T Bank in Buffalo, N.Y., has hired Victoria Komjathy as a senior specialist in AI governance. Komjathy joins the bank from Capital One, where she had been a senior risk manager since 2024. IBM subsidiary Confluent has hired Marina Kaganovich as global head of product regulatory compliance. Kaganovich comes to Confluent (a cloud services business) from Google, where she had worked in trust and compliance in the office of the CISO there. In Italy, Annette Amato has left Johnson & Johnson, where she had worked on assessment and consulting projects in healthcare compliance; to join orthopedics manufacturer DePuy Synthes as manager of compliance policies, training, and communication. Deepti Bhandari has joined Otis Elevator as director of ethics and compliance for the company's Asia-Pacific region. Bhandari comes to Otis from Abbott, where she had been head of the company's ethics and compliance office in Asia. Jennifer Scalise-Mullett has a new gig at Turbett Surgical, a small medical manufacturing business in upstate New York, as vice president of quality, regulatory, and compliance. Scalise-Mullett was last seen at Boston Pharmaceuticals as vice president of compliance until the end of 2025, when the company was acquired by GSK. Raytheon has hired Jen Zrilska as a compliance manager. Zrilska joins the defense contractor from Dow Jones, where she had been head of due diligence for the Americas region. Andrzej Bełza has been hired at Coloplast as a global trade and sanctions compliance manager, working from the company's offices in Poland. Bełza previously spent five years at Radiometer, where he had been a global trade compliance specialist. The Orix Group, a Japanese financial services conglomerate, has hired Junyeon Park as compliance counsel and global investigations lead. Park comes to Orix from the law firm Herbert Smith Freehills, where she had been counsel for several years. And incidentally, you may have seen news that Uber is cutting 3,000 jobs, or about 10 percent of its global workforce. I've noticed a small but steady stream of risk, compliance, and audit professionals at Uber subsequently announcing on LinkedIn that they've lost their jobs. If your organization is hiring or you can otherwise help out these folks, they're out there. Moving up the ladder. Mastercard has promoted Howard Fields from group head of AML, export control, and sanctions compliance to executive vice president of risk and compliance enterprise solutions.
