Requirements
  • BS or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Hardware design experience in analog, digital and mixed signal and interfaces
  • Experience with schematic design tools, PCB layout, FPGA development systems and tools, simulation tools (PSpice, Matlab, etc)
  • Experience with protocols including SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus, Ethernet
  • Working Knowledge of High Voltage systems and Power Electronics
  • Proficiency on necessary test and measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, spectrum analyzer)
  • Be a good self-starter, have a strong ability to deal with ambiguity, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision
  • Good organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to travel occasionally
Responsibilities
  • Own hardware design and lead development of the DC Fast Charger Controller and related SECC cards
  • Responsible for maintaining BOM and sourcing components
  • Responsible for releasing schematics tracking version control
  • Hands-on design and validation of prototype hardware
  • Develop and manage suppliers including board house, qualification testing, field testing, and complete system implementation
  • Ensure design maturity through characterizations and debugging on prototype hardware
  • Define and Support Board EOL procedures
  • Work cross functionally with Software and Firmware teams to drive test and hardware requirements
