  • 12+ years of experience in a machining environment
  • 8+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of management and/or leadership experience with direct reports
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports within the machining team across multiple shifts
  • Set the gold standard for the quality of machined parts
  • Manage machining production processes within a predefined area, and ensure safety at all times
  • Resolve reoccurring non-conformance issues
  • Review work instructions, and make recommendations when needed
  • Identify and set-up training programs
  • Continual optimization of machining processes for efficiency
  • Collaborate between design and manufacturing engineering
  • Coordinate repairs with the maintenance teams in a timely manner
  • Manage capacity planning of equipment and personnel
Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in R&D or prototype machining
  • Experience working with DMG MORI Machines - CMX-NVX, NLX 2500- 4000, DMU 50, 85, 125
  • Strong programming experience, preferably NX CAM
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma
  • Ability to adapt to constant changing work assignments and a fast-paced work environment
