- Current state licensure as a Medical Assistant.

- Assist with the admission process by escorting patients from the reception area, providing preparation and instruction, and assuring patient privacy.
- Assist with FEMTO laser procedures as needed.
- Assist with sterile processing as needed.
- Transport patients safely, clean and remake stretchers using proper infection control procedures, and operate stretchers to meet patient needs.
- Under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, obtain vital signs and assist patients with ambulation and dressing or undressing.
- Provide nourishment for patients under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist with patient discharge procedures, including safely escorting patients from the facility to transportation.
- Assist with unit housekeeping activities.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste properly.
- Assist with restocking supplies.
- Perform other tasks as directed by registered nurses or licensed practical nurses.
- Serve as a patient advocate.
- Identify learning needs and goals and seek direction to address them.
- Monitor and assess patients' physical status through observation and interaction.
- Provide appropriate instructions, training, and education to patients and family members.
- Report and document pertinent observations.
- Use supplies, equipment, and resources cost-effectively without compromising care delivery.
- Use universal precautions when providing patient care.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies, including the location of emergency drugs, supplies, and equipment.
- Adapt to changes in assignments and schedules based on patient-care needs.
- Maintain accountability for customer satisfaction.
- Seek guidance, direction, and assistance when needed.
- Perform other appropriately required or assigned duties.
