About the job
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent.
- Four years of journey-level electrical experience in maintenance, calibration, testing, and installation of equipment, including HVAC systems; AC and DC building and infrastructure electrical wiring; motors and control systems; storage batteries and charging systems; lighting systems and timers; and generators and transfer switches, from normal to high voltage.
- Must possess a valid CDL-B driver's license free from violations and restrictions. Successful applicants may obtain the license within six months from selection.
- Ability to use various electrical and testing devices and read and write schematic diagrams.
- Ability to use basic PC-based business software for word processing, email, and data entry.
- Install, test, calibrate, modify, maintain, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot electrical instruments, equipment, devices, controls, and machinery used in a public rail transportation system.
