  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a STEM major is required.
  • A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 7 to 11 years of professional experience, including relevant technical skills, is required.
  • Extensive experience with web design patterns, micro frontend development patterns, and solutioning is required.
  • Extensive experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, Node.js, React, and responsive web design is required.
  • Extensive experience developing UI frameworks, common components, and applications is required.
  • Experience developing REST-based microservices using Go and Java Spring Boot is required.
  • Hands-on experience with browser-based debugging is required.
  • Experience with automated UI testing frameworks such as Jasmine/Karma and Mocha is required.
  • Experience with behavior-driven development-based automated unit testing using Cucumber is required.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with software developers and imaging teams to implement solutions aligned with and extending shared platforms and solutions.
  • Work with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements and vision.
  • Translate requirements and vision into prioritized user stories and deliver them within required timelines and quality standards.
  • Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multigenerational software technology plans.
  • Drive efficiency across teams by eliminating duplication and leveraging product and technology reuse.
  • Support process improvements that guide development, sustaining, and support activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
  • Drive quality in the development and support of products.
  • Ensure the team receives consistent messages and clearly understands business direction, strategy, and results.
  • Engage subject matter experts in the successful transfer of complex domain knowledge.
  • Apply Agile principles, software development life cycle methodologies, software and product security practices, scalability practices, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5–7.
  • Write code that meets standards and delivers the required functionality using the selected project technology.
  • Build healthcare imaging platform capabilities and healthcare solutions for infrastructure and platform-as-a-service layers using Docker and containerization.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, PI planning, sprint reviews, and demonstrations.
  • Document component designs, develop design recommendations, and drive internal technical design reviews.
  • Perform technical feasibility assessments and share outcomes that support technology decisions.
  • Understand performance parameters, assess application performance, and address security issues.
  • Ensure unit-test automation using behavior-driven development and consistent code quality by adhering to Sonar quality gates.
  • Manage formal verification and release activities.
  • Coordinate with internal team members and other imaging teams for platform integration and defect fixes.

GE HealthCare launches AI tool to forecast hospital capacity bottlenecks 72 hours ahead

GE HealthCare has launched CareIntellect for Operations, an AI-powered software application that helps health systems forecast capacity constraints up to 72 hours ahead. The solution analyses hundreds of patient and operational data points to predict bottlenecks and recommend actions to optimise capacity and throughput. The Queen's Health Systems and Duke Health will be the first to implement the application. It uses two proprietary AI models: the Pressure Forecast model, which predicts resource constraints across hospitals and departments, and the Estimated Day of Discharge model, which predicts when patients will be discharged. The tool addresses operational challenges as US inpatient volumes rose 5.3% in 2025, requiring health systems to manage increased demand whilst facing staffing shortages and rising costs.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. All three systems use cSound imaging technology and include AI-enabled automation tools to streamline echo workflows. The systems have received CE Mark approval but are awaiting US FDA 510(k) clearance and are not yet available for sale in the United States.
