Architect - AWS Redshift
About the job
- A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive specialty experience in lieu of each year of education.
- At least 7 years of experience in the Information Technology field.
- Implement AWS Redshift and perform large-scale migrations from relational database management systems to AWS.
- Provide AWS-related architectural solutions based on clients' existing architectural tools and technologies.
- Plan, organize, and execute large-scale application or project migrations.
- Identify migration challenges and provide solutions without impacting the business or project timeline.
- Validate data integration by developing and executing test plans and scenarios covering data design, tool design, data extraction and transformation, networks, and hardware.
- Implement performance tuning and optimization for AWS Redshift.
- Enhance information architecture and solution-delivery capabilities by answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members and mentoring team members on AWS implementation solutions and approaches.
- Define new architectures and independently drive projects from an architectural standpoint.
- Provide thought leadership through white papers and leadership or mentoring of staff and internal consulting teams.
- At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture, and architectural frameworks.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing AWS Redshift and at least two large-scale migrations from relational database management systems to AWS.
- At least 5 years of experience with extract, transform, and load and reporting tools and technologies.
- Extensive experience with Amazon EMR and related big data technologies.
- Informatica 8.x or 9.x upgrade experience.
- Understanding of Business Objects and Tableau reporting tools.
- Project or account management experience.
