Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Zero to two years of modality-specific work experience.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT), or obtaining it within one year in the position.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross CPR/AED certification recognized for professional rescuers and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to perform the required standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, grasping, fine-motor, visual, hearing, and physical functions of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime as required, and in a latex-safe environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
  • Utilize available magnetic resonance imaging resources, protocols, and technology to provide accurate and timely imaging services.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Adhere to established safety standards, infection-control practices, and magnetic-resonance-imaging-specific protocols.
  • Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care.
  • Provide proper care and maintenance and perform quality control for magnetic resonance imaging equipment and work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of X-ray experience is preferred.
