Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Seven years of risk management leadership experience in financial services or related field, and/or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Five years or more of leadership experience in resiliency and disaster recovery.
  • Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, multi-task, and drive change. Strong quantitative, governance, and analytic abilities.
  • Ability to provide effective challenge to senior levels of leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate workshops to create PRC inventories and execute RCSAs.
  • Coordinate with LOD2 and Operational Risk Management to ensure processes are aligned to authoritative sources and create, modify, or archive processes as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Process Owners, Risk Advisors, and LOD2 to identify risks associated with business processes.
  • Coordinate with Process Owners, Risk Advisors, Control Owners, and LOD2 to identify controls associated to mitigate risks, ensure there are no orphaned controls, and create, modify, or archive controls as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with GCO Controls testing team to ensure controls are tested as needed.
  • Coordinate with GCO Issues Management team to ensure ineffective/inadequate/new controls have issues aligned to them.
  • Partner with Enterprise Process Engineering and Optimization team to ensure process maps are updated as processes, risks, and controls are added, modified, or archived.
  • Execute self-assessment on technology risks and controls per documented Truist policy to determine inherent risk, residual risk, and control effectiveness.
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on RCSA status to drive awareness of progress and holistic risk exposure across Technology GCO.
  • Perform inline Quality Control of completed compliance effective challenge output.
  • Monitor level III metrics aligned to control effectiveness and compliance risk.
  • Provide appropriate training and awareness to promote positive risk culture.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to support growth and development of teammates and provide a pipeline of talent to the organization.
  • Serve as backup to the Program Execution Executive.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fifteen years of risk management experience in financial services, technology or related field
  • Ten years of demonstrated leadership experience leading teams and high-profile projects
  • Five or more years of Risk, Audit, and/or Regulatory experience
  • Previous banking or relevant experience in highly regulated industries
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Effective delivering in a fast paced, dynamic, and complex work environment Foster healthy debate and challenge while establishing trust
  • Ability to think broadly, inspire others to embrace continuous improvement, exhibit risk-based mindset, instill accountability, demonstrate a bias for results, and exercise sound judgment
  • Master’s degree in Risk, Finance, Business, or equivalent academic field
