The employee must occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Responsibilities
Operate a backhoe/loader, front-end loader, and heavy roller.
Build forms for curbs, road culverts, gutters and sidewalks, retaining walls, storm sewers, and concrete paving.
Operate a motor truck to sand icy roadways and plow snowy roadways.
Service equipment and make skilled repairs.
Pour concrete and fill pavement cracks with asphalt.
Perform semi-skilled or unskilled work as assigned, including operating generator-powered equipment, tractors, and pneumatic equipment.
Description
Summary Operates heavy equipment and trucks to tow equipment, safely and efficiently. Loads and unloads heavy equipment. Requires knowledge of standard practices, methods, and materials used in street construction and maintenance activities. Requires knowledge of drainage and maintenance of proper grades.
