Naval ILS Engineer 1 - Maintenance
About the job
- A degree in Engineering, preferably Naval or Maritime Engineering.
- More than 5 years of experience in maintenance analysis and planning for naval defense programs such as frigates and submarines.
- Experience preparing Technical Maintenance Analyses using Reliability-Centered Maintenance methodology.
- Experience developing maintenance documentation, including Planned Maintenance System pages and cards, Intermediate Maintenance Standards/Technical Repair Standards, and Integrated Class Maintenance Plans.
- Experience planning scheduled ship immobilizations, such as PIP, PIV, and PIM under the F-110 maintenance requirements framework.
- Experience managing repairable pools and maintenance-by-replacement strategies.
- Experience conducting reliability and maintainability analyses using simulation tools.
- Experience with EOLO-IACV, Windchill, ARM simulation software, SAFRAN Project, Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Design, plan, and optimize maintenance strategies for military vessels throughout their life cycle while supporting operational availability above 90% and minimizing sustainment costs.
- Conduct Technical Maintenance Analyses using Reliability-Centered Maintenance methodology for critical systems such as propulsion, electrical generation, and combat systems.
- Define corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance strategies according to MIL-STD-3034A.
- Identify failure modes, effects, and mitigation tasks through FMECA.
- Create Maintenance Index Pages and Maintenance Requirement Cards in SGML format.
- Draft intermediate maintenance and technical repair standards for second- and third-level maintenance.
- Integrate maintenance tasks into the Integrated Class Maintenance Plan.
- List materials and consumables required for vessel immobilizations in Task Material Lists.
- Sequence tasks for planned immobilization periods and analyze workload by maintenance center, workshop, and vessel.
- Prepare class support plans according to the applicable AJAL instruction.
- Define equipment for maintenance by replacement and coordinate with supply teams to ensure spare-parts availability.
- Use simulation tools to validate availability objectives above 90% and update reliability and maintainability allocations in systems.
- Generate maintenance progress reports, record data in EOLO-IACV and Windchill, and participate in logistics coordination meetings with the client.
