About the job
- Hands-on expertise with NetApp Storage (CDOT and 7-Mode), including deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Proficiency in Brocade SAN switches and SAN technologies.
- Strong understanding of NetApp features, including snapshots, failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, and IntelliSnap.
- Knowledge of scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure platforms such as FlexPod, Cisco UCS, IBM BladeCenter, System X, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel protocols.
- Familiarity with ITIL methodologies.
- Understanding of managed services, outsourcing, and cloud industry practices.
- Knowledge of monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.
- Strong consulting and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- A bachelor's degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience, a master's degree with 8–10 years of experience, a PhD with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for storage operations, including incident, change, and service request management.
- Plan and perform firmware and operating system upgrades across customer environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in NetApp storage systems.
- Manage backup and replication technologies such as SnapMirror and IntelliSnap.
- Administer and optimise storage environments using tools such as OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, and Cloud Insight.
- Collaborate with senior customer teams and internal sales teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Document incidents, changes, and problem resolutions following ITIL standards.
- Design, build, deploy, and test infrastructure solutions and disaster recovery setups.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and operational processes.
- Experience with additional NetApp technologies such as StorageGRID, E-Series, and SolidFire.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) certification.
