  • Graduation from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • A Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required; in Wisconsin, registered nurses may practice with a valid multistate registered nurse license under Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications are required based on the patient population in the specialty area worked.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Apply clinical nursing knowledge while caring for critically ill and vulnerable patients.
  • Support patients and families during joyful, stressful, and uncertain times through compassionate care.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
  • Specialty certifications based on the patient population, such as Critical Care Registered Nurse and Certified Emergency Nurse, are preferred.
