Requirements
  • A high school diploma with at least five years of facilities management experience, including plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and boiler operations; or an Associate's Degree in Operations Management or a related field with at least three years of facilities management experience in these areas.
  • A Federal Emergency Management Agency F-80 Certificate of Fitness for coordination of fire safety and alarm systems is required.
  • An FLSD F-89 Fire Life Safety Director credential is required based on facility need.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the Maintenance and Custodial Services contract on a day-to-day basis.
  • Communicate contract requirements to the maintenance services contractor and monitor performance to ensure requirements are met.
  • Prepare work order requests and transmit them to the maintenance contractor.
  • Verify satisfactory completion of repairs and record them in the database.
  • Conduct regular inspections of client dormitories and common areas.
  • Serve as the 24-hour on-call point of contact for emergency repairs.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and custodial services are performed according to approved schedules.
  • Coordinate with program staff to correct physical plant deficiencies identified through OTDA, Callahan, and other oversight inspections.
  • Coordinate with Central Office staff to address violations and obtain documentation required to remove them from the record.
  • Attend Department of Buildings and Environmental Control Board hearings when required.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure appropriate service delivery.
  • Provide regularly scheduled individual and group supervision to assigned staff.
