Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, although relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of applicable technical experience with Creo (ProE) is required.
  • Experience with product development in an ISO-controlled environment is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • The ability to work outside normal work hours when needed is required.
  • Knowledge of accepted practices for plastic injection molding, tooling, and tooling design is required.
  • Knowledge of plastic part design and plastic materials and additives is required.
  • The ability to obtain a passport is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and exploit commercially viable technical solutions and product offerings.
  • Explore and apply computer-aided design technologies and tools.
  • Maintain full compliance with ISO quality procedures and processes.
  • Lead and assist with executing and implementing new products from concept through full production.
  • Validate finished products.
  • Complete documentation and cross-functional communication.
  • Provide technical customer support and assistance.
  • Mentor technical staff with less experience.
  • Supervise Product Designers and Product Engineers in their teams.
  • Support the execution and development of procedures and work instructions as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Assess employee performance and coach and develop others.
Desired Qualifications
  • A BSME degree with cooperative work assignments in plastic-manufacturing-based companies.
  • Four years of experience in a project management role.
  • Proficiency with finite element analysis modeling and analysis.
  • Experience with Windchill or other product data management software.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and SpaceClaim.
  • Green Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical process control.
