Requirements
  • Fluent in Power BI (including DAX and data modeling)
  • Strong in SQL
  • Exposure to Python is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in BI/reporting, with strong hands-on experience in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling)
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to work with enterprise data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
  • Proven ability to consult with stakeholders, define requirements, and translate them into BI solutions
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with data engineering teams and BI architects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, especially with executives
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of BI reports and visualizations in Power BI and other BI tools based on stakeholder requirements
  • Build and maintain data models that integrate Snowflake, D3, and other enterprise sources
  • Write efficient DAX and SQL to create measures, KPIs, and business-ready insights
  • Partner with DET, BIA, and business stakeholders to align data solutions with real-world needs
  • Support governance by promoting certified datasets and following QA/release processes
  • Troubleshoot incidents, respond to stakeholder feedback, and ensure production deliverables are accurate and timely
  • Mentor analysts and business power users in BI design, data modeling, and visualization standards
  • Contribute to AMA’s quarterly board reporting and annual strategic planning with trusted measures
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting or data prep in Python is an asset
  • Agile/Scrum experience is an asset
