This is a 100% traveling role requiring continuous travel to project sites across multiple states, with extended assignments at each location.

Requirements
  • One to three years of experience in civil construction; internship experience may be considered.
  • A strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and standards.
  • Proficiency in Magnet/Topcon Office and construction management software is preferred but not required, including Procore, Acumatica, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, or similar tools.
  • An FAA Part 107 Drone License is required, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • The ability to travel full-time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test is required before the start date.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager with ongoing changes, issues, and project needs throughout the job lifecycle, ensuring alignment on schedules, scope, and project challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to maintain the overall project schedule and three-week schedule weekly.
  • Validate Issued for Construction plans, quantities, and assumptions, including processing contract true-ups based on Issued for Construction drawings and field conditions.
  • Assist with preparing, tracking, and reconciling change orders and contract true-ups throughout the project.
  • Compile, prepare, submit, track, and ensure timely approval of submittals.
  • Work with the Project Manager to prepare and submit Requests for Information, track them, and ensure timely closure.
  • Assist with material sourcing and procurement in coordination with the Project Manager and Estimator.
  • Support One-Call updates and dig permit coordination to ensure safe field operations.
  • Manage GPS topographic surveys, including pre-construction, progress, and as-built surveys.
  • Compare GPS models provided versus actual conditions to calculate and verify quantities.
  • Compile survey data and process it into usable information for project tracking and verification.
  • Maintain the FAA Part 107 Drone License and conduct unmanned aerial vehicle operations as required.
  • Support layout, surveying, and material quantity take-offs.
  • Maintain project logs, including quantity trackers, submittal logs, and Request for Information logs.
  • Assist with progress meetings by preparing agendas and meeting minutes and tracking follow-up action items.
